FIT Tariff and switching

If i have a FIT tariff with my existing energy supplier what happens if i want to change supplier for my electricity. Do i have to move my Fit to that provider and if so do i lose the benefit of being on my rate pre December?

Depends on the present supplier. The Big Six have to offer FIT's registration, so if you are with one of them you can leave it there. If you're with a smaller supplier where FITs reg is voluntary, they may only offer it to their own customers.
The rate applying will be the one at the time your system was originally registered. You are not re-registering, you are just transferring.
