Virgin Media upgrade and installation charges

Having been a Virgin customer for many years for broadband and telephone I recently decided to take a look at the latest Virgin offers and at the same time move from Sky to Virgin tv.
The offers for tv look great especially with their new Tivo box which costs an additional £3 per month. But what do you know these aren't for people like me who have been with Virgin a long time, but only for new customers.
No I can't have the first 3 months at half price, No I can't have free installation for the tv although the cables are already there and No I can't upgrade my broadband unless I pay a £30 fee.
Where's the reward for being a loyal customer?
Can anyone tell me where I get an email or other contact for someone in authority (Richard Branson) at Virgin so I can challenge this?

I migrated from Sky in November, like you I had been a customer for BB and LL for many many years with VM, but unlike you I was offered 3 months TV for free, there was no installation charge but I did have to pay an activation fee for my Tivo boxes. Did you speak to someone in a UK call centre?:pB&SC No. 298

I'm afraid I'd be speaking to someone at customer retentions. If you are no longer under contract then they usually have some good offers for those who wish to disconnect their service.4 Stones and 0 pounds or 25.4kg lighter :j0

Suggest you contact sky and BT and get a quote for the package that you want. Also try Talk Talk, orange, etc. for phone and BB. Also have a look at Quidco and TCK to see if they have any offers on as well.
If you get a better price and/or offer, then phone up VM (phone 150 select, option 4 or 5 (can't remember which one exactly) where it says something like 'you want to leave us' and you will then speak to the UK Customer retentions team. Discuss with them the competition offers and see what happens.
I did this a few days ago and was offered a free TIVO box, free install, TV M+, BB L, Phone L, phone line rental for £29-00 per month. For info, I am currently on V+, TV M, BB L, phone L and rental and was paying a lot more than £29 per month.
Unfortunately I am not staying with VM as IMHO I have got a much better deal with Sky.

Phone VM and select the option that you wish to leave Virgin Media. You will get through to the retentions team who WILL offer you free Tivo installation and also see what deductions they can give to you.
If you are out of contract that is.0 -
At the moment I have broadband with virgin £21.50 per month and tv with sky £24.50 per month, so I am paying £46 and the majority of the time we don't watch much of the sky (mainly kids channels!) So I rung virgin (retentions) last Friday to say I was thinking of moving my tv across and could they do me a deal. Anyway I have got the following:
TV xl with virgin+
Phone line M
Internet M (soon to be 20meg from July onwards in our area)
All for £40.90 per month plus free installation of tv and phone line (worth £49)
Get ringing retentions!
