I COULD BLOODY WELL AFFORD THE LOAN WHEN I TOOK IT OUT OTHERWISE I WOULDN'T OFF :rotfl:
do you think that I would have taken it out if I knew I would have to have surgery on my spine in the near future??? :j
no - insurance is for that very reason - unknown eventualities. Nor did my boyfriend know that a drugged up guy was going to drive on the wrong side of the motorway and smash into my boyfriends car and put him in coma. Insurance covered his loan
I used the word MAY not have been able to afford loan with other outgoings, if you agreed to having your salary increased on the loan application
I'm sure people would have helped more, if you had not bit back at everything0 -

I understand that folk on the board are here to help, however If you read my posts I got the impression from one or two members that I was being a bit care-free and thought what the hell etc take the loan you know you are going to have spinal surgery 8 months down the line hey ho, I have always been careful with my money for reasons that I ill not go into as its a bit long winded. Unfortunately as I stated previously I have been caught completely off guard with the results of the MRI, due to 3/4 different so-called specialists giving me their so-called advise which resulted in mis-diagnosis. And when I initially joined the forum out of worry the last thing I expected was a third degree and to be made felt like a school boy sent to the headmaster. I've been round the block (so to speak) through a lot of grief in a short period of time of my life and I can tell you that i'm not a fool with money.

unfortunately or fortunately dpending on how you look at it i'm 34 and my pension is untouchable until I hit 65, so a long way to go.

the reason that I did not take insurance out on this loan (6th with Barclays and all others paid off well before due date or paid off in a lump sum), is that I have been stung on these so called insurance policies - in my experience if the company can get out of it THEY WILL.... PERIOD!!

yes we did disagree, but look at my reply to ohmsoft. Even though I was mis-diagnosed for such a length of time when you put your health into the hands of a professional (or 3 to 4 in my case) and they tell you not to worry its just 'mechanical back pain' and to keep taking the pills...you do so as what do I know? thats not my profession, and it took a 3rd episode (the final straw so to speak) which was in November 05 before things got taken seriously as I was taken to A&E. Thats why the loan got taken out as it was well before this happened. Thanks for the 'good luck'0
