after waiting 30 days since 16th dec for payment from bank of scotland i called them on monday and they now say its been made priority and put into hands of payment manager who have 28days to make payment is there anything i can do to speed them up with my payment as its not getting interest in my bank

But it is getting 8% from the claims team which is almost certainly higher than in your bank account. The bottom line is that there is no way to speed it up. In theory you can take it to the FOS but then they will stop dealing with your compliant until the FOS look at it and that could be months away. The best thing to do is wait and periodically chase.
