Job title sounds ridiculously posh - Corporate Support Assistant - but it's actually just working in the Local Councils Post room sorting & distributing the post around the various council buildings and providing photocopying service and a bit of admin etc - sort of an office dogsbody but for the whole borough council.

Play your cards right and you never know what doors might open :]

Well done, you now have a purpose in life again.

8 interviews in a year isn't bad going. I got 5 in a year. 4 in the sector I had been in (CNC setter/operator) and one (which lead to a job) in Quality management (despite telling them I was awaiting a cataract op at the time).

When you start a job after a long time unemployed, it really does give you a sense of purpose again.
