I finally got a job!!!!!!

I just wanted to share :)
and maybe make those of you who have also been unemployed for a long period feel that there is hope :)
Especially those who I have seen vilified for asking an innocent question by the 'you're a scrounger' brigade which infests some of these forums.

Prior to losing my job to 'cuts', I was constantly employed since school in fairly low paid jobs with unsociable, and long, hours - no way was I a slacker!

Yet I've been unemployed for over a year despite applying for around 3-5 'suitable' and around 10 'what-the-hell-they-can-only-say-no' jobs per week for the entire period.
I only managed to reach 'interview stage' 8 times in that time.
No wonder people give up and watch Jeremy Kyle instead.

This time though, it paid off, despite me being hideously out of practice and coming away from the interview KNOWING I could have done better.

Only the reference checks to get over now and the job is mine :D
I won't be more than £20 a month better off but £20 is £20.

I feel EPIC!!!!!
Don’t try to keep up with the Jones’s. They are broke!

  • Well done as they say and don't let those small minded Benefit Bashers get you down as they are more likely in this current job climate to end up needing to live on [full] benefits themselves.
