Can you offer to baby sit for her sometime?Vuja De - the feeling you'll be here later0

What about a herb pot? Just get a big pot (off freegle) and grow lots of nice in it. If she's losing weight but enjoys food, it would be ideal as its not fattening. Should be fairly cheap to make.0

Wow, you sound so NICE and thoughtful. Any of the above suggestions would be great or how about decorating a plant pot with your kids and popping an inexpensive house plant in it? Morrisons is doing some lovely cheap Hyacinth bulbs that would look and smell great in a couple of weeks. And it gets the kids involved!
I look after a teenager every week for 8 hours (My sons friend) and always give him lunch and dinner. His parents pull up outside the house at 6pm, toot the horn and he jumps in the car!! They have NEVER even said Hello to me, never mind "Thanks for having my kid every week"
I've had arguments with my son about their behaviour but it's not his problem and I don't want to spoil the friendship. The Boy himself is polite and charming...
Maybe it's me  ?0 -
Big bunch of flowers or a flower pot maybe at the end of term. Maybe a thankyou card now if you want to do something."If you don't feel the bumps in the road, you're not really going anywhere "

you could put a couple of packets of seeds in the card for her garden.0

Well I had a friend who did this and every now and again I'd give her a bottle of wine, chocs or whatever. I'm doing it for someone else now and I got a bunch of flowers for Christmas. I'd get her something every now and again myself.0

I would say babysitting would be the best idea, perhaps on a saturday night to allow her and her dh to go out together.0

Lovely suggestions there. Thank you all so much. The babysitting isn't an option as she has a much older daughter who earns pocket money by babysitting the younger 2.
Must go and hoover before visitors arrive!!!!Father Ted: Now concentrate this time, Dougal. These
(he points to some plastic cows on the table) are very small; those (pointing at some cows out of the window) are far away...

To save you the trouble of posting, I've a great idea for an original Easter gift for your kids. A chocolate egg!!! No need to thank me...;)0
