I've had such good advice here, some amazing advice that I really should have realised/known a long time ago. I really want to look at my soa and post it properly, I do honestly believe we can get ourselves out of this without going down the bankrupsy route just yet.

If you are starting a franchise, have you separated out your personal bills and debts and the business debts - the mobile phone, loan repayments, etc should be coming out of the business income first instead of your income. If you are not making enough to cover these costs and it is running at a loss then you need to re-examine how you are running it and see if you can improve things...

Hi just wanted to say we were in £104,000 of debt 4 years ago with similar income but higher mortgage payments and secured debt. We went for a DMP and now owe £30,000. It can definitely be done and I wish you loads of luck, x.

You should be able to more than make up the shortfall from gradually reducing the grocery spend alone. Once the mobiles are cut down, this will help too. Shop around for other things are renewal time.

Why is your landline so high? (sorry if I missed this) - as a comparison, I get landline & internet for under £25 month.

I'm wondering if all the aprs are really 0% - if not, start flinging any extra money at the one with the highest interest.

After thinking i really need to look at my shopping bill! But I still don't know how you have a shopping bills at £200 is that on meat, fish, toiletries etc... This I'm finding it hard to get my head around.

I'm wondering if we should try for a loan to cover our credit cards or if this would make us more vulnerable?... Just thinking we may start paying it off then?

I'm still doing the soa to get it right, I have this awful feeling that we may be worse than this, I really appreciate all that have replied.

I'm just wondering if bankruptcy is our only option?
