Cancellation Policy with Hotels

Can anybody tell me, if I can legally stop a future payment for a hotel stay when I booked my stay for 3 nights the website stated that my discounted price could not be cancelled? Are they duty bound to allow me 10 days "cooling off" period?

    1) No, you can't.

    2) No, they are not.

You are probably thinking about Distance Selling Regulations, but hotel accomodation and some other things are specifically excluded from your right to cancel.
  • Discounted hotel rooms are pretty much the same as cheap airline tickets in that both are normally non refundable andnon changable.

If you want to option to change or cancel, you normally have to pay a premium and choose a higher priced ticket or accomodation package.
