Tomsmum - How did the card for your DIL go?
I managed to finish it Marg and she was thrilled with it. It's on my blob.
I've also just blobbed my birthday cards if anyone wants to have a look.
I'm only popping on occasionally so not up to date with everyone's news, hopefully you'll forgive me.
It would have been DH's birthday three days ago, so another first out of the way. Nothing else now until later in the year so things will probably settle down now.
Artydoll I know I've missed it but I saw about your radiotherapy recently. I remember how it was for my DH so I really feel for you. Good to know it's now finished and whatever the reason for it is then I hope you are doing well.
Wifey I saw you had some work done on your undercarriage, best wishes to you for a speedy recovery.
Hugs to anyone else having a hard time that I've not mentioned.
It's raining very steadily here, looks like it's set for the day. I'm glad it's not falling as snow. I wont be taking Poppy out in it, if she gets too wet her coat matts up and it's not nice for her brushing it out. Good chance to catch up on the housework then!0 -
having a rant, entered a card into a vintage challenge and one of the DT has commented that they don't think it is vintage. i looked at the DT's cards and it is (IMHO) more vintage then some of theirs. what does vintage mean? where is the definition?
and calm......
nice to see you here tomsmom xxx
arty doll- glad you have finished the treatment xxx
rainmac- hope the hand gets better for half term x0 -

Total white out here in my corner of Essex and it looks like a bigger dollop is on it's way too. It's the first time I've ever seen a snow plough in village too.
cg, don't take the lady's criticism to heart, I can see exactly where you are coming from and it's only a piece of lace or a doily that sometimes seems to make it, in someone's eyes, a vintage card. I loved your bird cage, by the way.
getting a bit better everyday but funnily enough I'm not stir crazy yet. Be the kind of woman that when your feet hit the ground each morning the devil says, "OH CARP, SHE'S UP"! :whistle:0 -
made it to the craft fair and back just before the snow came, i wasn't very impressed with it really. It was ok but to be honest you can get the stuff cheaper on the internet. They claimed it was all trade prices but it wasn't. There wasn't much variety, it was heavy on dies which was good in a way as that's what i wanted but every stall seemed to just have mainly dies and the prices were far too high so i only bought one which i hadn't seen before.
Really really wanted some doily dies but they were expensive boo. I would have bought a couple if there had been offers on.:)Mummy to 2 wonderful boysWant to be fit for 30 not fat at 30but i want never gets!!!0 -
:jHappy Birthday :j Vicklspence Hope you have a lovely day - sorry I didn't manage to get a card made for you x
Freezing fog & ice here - we postponed our planned trip to Lakeland yesterday until today but can't expect DH to drive in these conditions so I guess I may find the bottom of the ironing basket instead........:(0 -
Many 'Belated Happies' for yesterday, Vicki.
OH wanted to see Kitty in action so we've just made a bog standard fruit cake from the Be-Ro book and a batch of scones. Can't wait to get back to work and end this domesticity.
Posted my DT card over on the OSAAT DT blog here.
dragonllew, tell us about the Letraset Safmat, just spotted your ruby wedding card which is gorgeous. Be the kind of woman that when your feet hit the ground each morning the devil says, "OH CARP, SHE'S UP"! :whistle:0 -

Been busy getting a year older and less wiseThanks to FF for the gorgeous card
xx
Got a lot going on health wise, so been busy with appointments...hopefully this week will be the end of them for a couple of weeks and let me hibernate in the craft room
Silly question time...what colour do you use when colouring around your stamped image? Is it a pale blue or a grey colour? Still trying to get the hang of colouring in lol.
Hope you are all well and keeping cosy in this cold snap xx

hi everyone, im not a card maker but i thought this be the best place to ask, im actually trying to strt a small ebay business selling hand made items, only what i have in mind, i need to print directly onto card, can anyone reccommend a good quality card, but thats not too thick that it wont go through my printer. The printing it not to make cards, its to print onto card to add personalisation to a box i hope that makes sense
thankyou!
