Is it the HMRC webiste itself that you cannot access or the online gateway?
I can access both so I assume it's not a fault at HMRC's end.0 -

It's either a DNS issue with Virgin or perhaps Virgin's proxy server playing up. You used to be able to use a different proxy server with Virgin but don't know if you still can as I moved away from Virgin.0 -

I had this problem at the w/end ... I 'phoned the HMRC 'help desk'
... it took a long time for anyone to answer the 'phone, but eventually a member of staff told me that they were experiencing problems as a result of the vast number of people accessing the website at the same time, in a bid to meet the SA submission deadline (ie: nothing to do with Virgin, or whatever). I tried yesterday and managed to access the site OK.0 -
Are you sure? Virgin's broadband apparently had problems last night.(ie: nothing to do with Virgin,
http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/tech/news/a360686/virgin-media-uk-wide-adsl-broadband-internet-outage-resolved.htmlVirgin Media has claimed that problems with its broadband service in the UK have been "resolved", after the firm suffered a major national outage yesterday evening (January 17).Did you really mean to put loose?
Lose: no longer possess, not to retain, unable to find
Loose: not firmly or tightly fixed in place0
