Damp issues

Hi all.:j

We have damp and I wondered if any of you could recommend where or who to contact in the Stockport area please.

I also notice there are ways you can check damp; putting foil down on the floor etc. We have a hole just above the skirting board. I also know there is no such thing as 'raising damp'. Also, about the chemical used in the brick work which is damaging. Need help please as selling he house but want to give quote to people who are buying.

Get a surveyor to assess not a builder or contractor. All they will do is quote you loads of money.
