Emsbet, I was laughing at my daftness as i was thinking to search "emsbet" in the search bar lol. Wierd thinking we all have proper names. Would be nice to see you on facebook. Congrats on feeling the baby move, am looking forward to that too. Although OH swears he felt something yesterday.

Triangle, I am also a bag lady I think as we are trying to get everything cheap/secondhand I may splash out on a nice bag. Am thinking it would have to be neutral-ish to go with our pram. But I will def get my free Boots one, and a lady I know gave me one the other day too.

Can I ask a question pls? What is a sweep? I know I should probably know or read my baby book/google it, but it sounds a little personal!! I'm guessing it's something that happens late on so I don't have to worry so much about it yet But i'm curious.

The big north west meet up sounds like it'll be a great laugh. I'm living in the sound though. Did I remember reading someone lives in MK? I'm guessing you meant Milton Keynes? Sorry can't remember who it was. Maybe if there are a few ppl down this way we could have a meet up down here?

I'm 17 weeks tomorrow. It was weird it was like one big pop, I was expecting lots of little pops. Then it felt weird low down, like everything was kinda swishing around.

It's doesn't feel how I was expecting but I think that's what it must be. There has definitely been more going on down there over the last week. I'm happy but trying not to get too carried away just yet as I don't want to be wrong

Happydays, Emsbet, nah, get yourself all signed up in advance, and it'll be ready done for when your LO arrives! You can read all our moaning and prepare yourself!

Little_miss_M. A sweep is when the doctor or M/w feels inside, and runs their finger over the membrane of the sac, which in theory stimulates hormones that induce labour to start. They can only do it if the cervix has softened and dilated enough, so they will need to check that first, ebfore deciding if a sweep is possible. If you are already dilated and softened, a sweep shouldnt be any more than a bit uncomfortable. Its if you havent, that you may find the check more painful.
