I'm jealous of you northerners meeting up, isn't anyone in london or essex way?
Hi lovely. Just sticking my nose round the door of the old haunt to see how things are going. Where abouts in London are you? There are 3 of us in SW london who meet for a walk nearly every week now..Married 13/03/10 #1 DD born 13/01/12!!

The bag of Snoopys is merely a changing bag. I think she will need a concierge for her hospital luggage with one of them trolleys!!
Yes I am very sarcastic. And Callum is exactly the same, he has me in bloody stitches he does.DS1 born June 2000

Wow haven't been on here since Friday and took a while to read through, although now I think I've prob forgotten a lot of it.
Congrats to Lovecrafting, hope you and Isla are both doing well and she's soon out of the NICU.
Was going to say Emmy that we are the same age, but it was my bday on Saturday so now I am 28 lol.
Emsbet, I was laughing at my daftness as i was thinking to search "emsbet" in the search bar lol. Wierd thinking we all have proper names. Would be nice to see you on facebook. Congrats on feeling the baby move, am looking forward to that too. Although OH swears he felt something yesterday.
Triangle, I am also a bag ladyI think as we are trying to get everything cheap/secondhand I may splash out on a nice bag. Am thinking it would have to be neutral-ish to go with our pram. But I will def get my free Boots one, and a lady I know gave me one the other day too.
Snoopy that's a lovely story about the statue in Italy
Happy sounds as if things might have started. I love your choice of name too. Your DS sounds lovely and will look after you both
Welcome Robyn to the thread and the madhouse.
Can I ask a question pls? What is a sweep? I know I should probably know or read my baby book/google it, but it sounds a little personal!! I'm guessing it's something that happens late on so I don't have to worry so much about it yetBut i'm curious.
The big north west meet up sounds like it'll be a great laugh. I'm living in the sound though. Did I remember reading someone lives in MK? I'm guessing you meant Milton Keynes? Sorry can't remember who it was. Maybe if there are a few ppl down this way we could have a meet up down here?
Hope everyone is well, sorry if i forgot anyone.

I may have bought a few treatsalso some fruit as I feel guilty about the amount of junk I've eaten lately (although I may have got some meringue nests and cream to go with them
I blame gin)
Oooh Emsbet i`ve checked our friends in common, and 1 of them has 5 mutual friends with me, and they r all my toddler group mummy friends! I think ur friend may be one of their daughters??? Also, ur friend that works at Holy trinity playgroup, my DD3 had her easter service with them last week
I really hope that was movement for u emsbet!! xx
Hmm you'll have to let me know who it is.
!
Emsbet - how lovely to feel movement! The first time I felt something was at 19 weeks and it was excatly like a popping sensation! Then it felt like bubbles. Now at 28 weeks the kicks are sometimes proper little belters! How many weeks are you now?
I'm 17 weeks tomorrow. It was weird it was like one big pop, I was expecting lots of little pops. Then it felt weird low down, like everything was kinda swishing around.mishkanorman wrote: »!Emsbet, Ive been getting movements for a while now and they are exactly as you describe - kind of like someone has flicked you from inside and missed slightly so you dont get the full force of it. Its a weird old feeling but great all at once :rotfl:
It's doesn't feel how I was expecting but I think that's what it must be. There has definitely been more going on down there over the last week. I'm happy but trying not to get too carried away just yet as I don't want to be wrong
I hope your amino results come back with good news and I hope you are resting properly this evening.happydays77 wrote: »I'm sure everyone is a lot younger than me on this thread. I can't even remember when my age started with a 2!!!!

Happydays, Emsbet, nah, get yourself all signed up in advance, and it'll be ready done for when your LO arrives! You can read all our moaning and prepare yourself!
Little_miss_M. A sweep is when the doctor or M/w feels inside, and runs their finger over the membrane of the sac, which in theory stimulates hormones that induce labour to start. They can only do it if the cervix has softened and dilated enough, so they will need to check that first, ebfore deciding if a sweep is possible. If you are already dilated and softened, a sweep shouldnt be any more than a bit uncomfortable. Its if you havent, that you may find the check more painful.Married 13/03/10 #1 DD born 13/01/12!!
