Thanks happydays. I am consoling myself with a Cadbury mini eggs easter egg at the moment - purely for medicinal purposes you understand!

I might have just eaten some Galaxy Counters. Ssshhhhhh...don't tell anyone, they think I'm addicted!!!

laura, yeah my section was for a breech baby too, it was decided at 36wks after tryin to turn him but couldnt and booked in for 39wks but he had other plans and my waters went at 37+1, with the biggest gush ever!!! (make sure you listen to your body, sounds silly but as i was booked in for that date it didnt cross my mind i would have him befor then. i was in labour when i got to hospital!!) the op its self was straight forwards, being explained to us as we went along which i found better then knowing all befor hand as it was less scary and it was kind of 'so this IS gonna happen so just go along with it'.
when i was having the section i seem to remember it taking about 45mins in total, i could feel what was like a washing machine feeling and i could feel being tugged about but NO pain at all. i was very very hot though and kept asking my hubby to wet a flannel with really cold water to put on my head.
recovery wasnt too bad, an hour or so befor i was back on the ward, was now about 12pm, the nurse gave me a bad bath after a couple of hours (hubby was up in nicu with the baby or i would have got him to do it!!) the nurses walked me to the bathroom at about 4pm and after something to eat i felt well enough to take myself to the loo.
the next morning i was walkin and everything as normal.
the worse bit about it is the stitch. it sits right on your pant/trouser line so get some BIG nickers and nighties so it doesnt rub. my stitch was taken out after 4 days but still hurt for a couple of weeks (although all my clothes rubbed it so that probably made it worse) i was in hospital for a while as my baby was poorly, but my best friend who had a section for a breech baby was home by tea time the next day!

hope this helps, its jus MY story and im sure others have different things to say. if theres anything in perticular you want to ask go ahead, il try and help xxx

hello everyone, hope you are all doing okay!

Because Ive got more Annual leave now than I thought due to my work recently changign the rules and now giving me my public holidays while on mat leave, I've decided to finish a week earlier than planned.

So, I finish on 4 May (Baby due 10 June)

So after today, that's 22 day working days left... well really only 21 as I have 2 half day mat appointments already booked in!

Oh Kelda that's my Callums birthday 10th June. It's a good day to be born.

Sorry for all the colds choclover. What a nightmare!!!

Emsbet - everybody wants to be friends with an Emsbet. I just get so confused what people's normal names are in RL. I was wondering the other day if we were in a public place would we respond to our username????

Haha I think I would as I spend way too much time on here! ;)
Maybe we should get name badges for the big meet up? "Jane Doe aka smeghead123" ;)

Congratulations lovecrafting, hope you and your little lady are doing well.
Good luck happy, sounds very promising :0) how many bags do people have? I have a holdall for me and one for baby, is that too much? Had an upset tummy the last couple of days, hope my body isn't preparing for an early arrival, I don't feel poorly?

Hope everyone had a good weekend x

I have a small suitcase for both babies (think aeroplane cabin size). I have a large holdall for me which is already full but i'm still adding stuff to it! :rotfl:
