    Good luck annabella xx

Going to pick up my 27 week bounty pack today (even though I'm nearly 32 weeks!!) I keep forgetting so I have stuck a post it note on my front door!!

Managed to get up asda yesterday and picked up some more wipes with my vouchers, bought some baby bath products and a couple of hooded baby towels. Went to matalan after that and bought a blanket, need to get a couple more before bubs arrives and a couple more sleepsuits but apart from that it's just a couple of big bits left eg steriliser. I have found it hard staying team yellow as u don't want to go overboard with neutral as I know people will buy us things when baby arrives. I think me and oh will go on a massive shopping spree after s/he is born!! Can't wait to get pink or blue bits now!!

We have 3 fishtanks (yes, 3: 60l, 180l and 480l - the middle one is to go, as the big one was bought as a new replacement for our newly decorated living room last summer). And I wouldn't attempt lifting either of them of my own - the 180l one has to be completely emptied of everthing, including the gravel for us to lift it, and the 480l one we jsut managed to move to. We actually hired a 'man with the van' to get is picked up from the shop and help us move it intothe room, as there was no way I could have helped OH to move it!

I would love to breastfeed - I know, it would be very hard with the two at once, and my mum wasn't able to breastfeed me, she didn't have enough milk. Also, it is from MSE point of view - I am scared to even think of how much we would have to spend on formula with two of them!!!! And just because of that, we probably will. Sods law!

yeah the one we collected was 180l we have a 480 but he wants a dedicated tank for neon tetras so he found this one on facebook, he now feels suitably guilty for me helping to lift it, even tho he didnt ask me lol, there was only 2 inches of water in the bottom because we asked the seller to leave the media out of the filter in the bottom to help with cycling.

Also, if anyone who has a small baby/might have small babies (Jannine, Lovecrafting, etc) wants any early baby/tiny baby bodysuits (up to 6lb) I have a new 6/7 pack from Asda that I don't need, so would be happy to send them if they'll come in useful for someone. X

if no one else asks for them i would really appreciate them if its ok please hun, even if i go to term we are looking at around 5lb but i think they are still planning on an eviction at 32 weeks but they keep changing there mind.

Not long now Gillyx! :D Hope you get to see all your film, and that it's not too jumpy...! ;)

DH has just got home with the cot...it's the same as this one: http://www.amazon.co.uk/East-Coast-Anna-Dropside-White/dp/B001WAK4SK/ref=sr_1_1?s=baby&ie=UTF8&qid=1326910806&sr=1-1

Really pleased with it, it's pretty much as good as new :) Just the sort of thing I had in mind, and a good size to have next to our bed too. Can't wait to buy all the bedding etc to go with it!

Looking forward to OBEM tonight, I love that programme. DH laughed at me last week though as I cried my eyes out all the way through, starting during the opening credits...! I really enjoyed Call the Midwife the other day, too. I personally quite like Miranda Hart and I'll be interested to see how she is in that.

    BB x

what is this call the midwife you all keep talking about, im missing something here.

that one on really, i usually watch it but had to switch it off yesturday because they had the baby that didnt make it, my kids are at home dring the day and as much as its ok for them to see a birth they dont need to see the other side of things.

i still havent caught up i just knew i had pressed quote a few times and it would have stopped uoting them, i think it was Gilly i qoted aswel re the breastfeeding contraception thing. It can be an effective form of contraception but as i think someone else managed it must be strictly managed.
  • Good luck 4nnabella :)

I've got my 38 week checkup today! Feeling quite achy again today, so at least it means I won't quite be doing a full day at work, and then working from home tomorrow so that will be good to get a bit of a rest. That's assuming I don't end up doing what I did last week when working from home - doing the housework in my lunchbreak!

Well surprise surprise I didn't get back to sleep! I got up again at 5am, went to the toilet and have had a teeny bit of plug-type stuff, waters still leaking. It was a bit bloody (sorry...) so I rang the maternity suite again and they said as long as it was just pinkish and not a heavy bleed type thing then it's fine. I've started having period-pain type cramps too, they started about 4am, not regular at all but things definitely seem to be happening. I've just had a shower and am making sure my bags have got everything I may need in them, just in case we don't come back from the hospital, but I'm expecting to go, be checked and get sent home... Will keep you all updated! Thanks for the best wishes :D

    ohh good luck hun.
ooohhh Good Luck 4Annabella - I love all this baby news, makes it all seem so much more real, even though I am still 13 and a bit weeks off!

OBEM last night was brilliantly frustrating as usual, I agree with what has been said already - the mother was so negative, I know it must be hard for her and rightly she is disappointed, but come on woman, there is a time and a place to put your child down, and that is not one of them!

I also agree that Indian lady looked posesses at one stage, and I could have reached into the tele and throttled them when they gave it the whole "men bring life into the world" speech blahhhh - you try telling our private parts that!!

And again I was cringing during the c-section, she looked in pain! I really do not want to have to have a c-section, it worries me.

Well on a more exciting note - I tried to get to Asda last night to get my huggies kit (rung up and they were in stock and everything) to be stopped in my tracks because the centre of town had been closed off cause some fruit loop was on the roof of asda with a knife, and the police decided to cause traffic rush hour chaos by shutting off every main road in the area for hours. So no huggies kit yet.

Then to add to the excitement, at about 6:45 when we were home, the whole house shook and there was an almighty bang, the windows shook and everything, scared the living daylights out of me and bump, and the dogs! Turns out some naughty pilot had caused a Sonic Boom - and the whole town shook! It was deffo an interesting night, I don't think I can handle it lol x x

omg you get all the fun, the most exitment we get here is the pcso's having a walk around. in town however i wouldnt dare go in there after dark.

Ooo, another question before I forget, do you guys get your OH's to landscape your lady gardens? Mine could do with doing and I usually wax it mayself but cant see it properly now and was wondering if I should pay to have it done or get OH to just use some hair removing cream but I'm not sure if you can use that during pregnancy??

please please please dont use cream on it, i did just before my wedding and it bled alot, it hurt aswel

    Morning All.

Lucy It does seem to be only the pushchair, I didn't realise you wanted the travel system, sorry :( not sure if it'd be cheaper to buy that and then all the gubbins elsewhere? If not Kiddicare is probably the cheapest :)

Annabella Good Luck. Hopefully it all starts for you.

Toniq How exciting is it, less than a day now :j I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for you.

Whoever posted the Mothercare vouchers yesterday, thanks :j going today to try and get my nursing bras. MIL is going off on one because my OH said I had spotting yesterday, apparently I'm doing too much? If sitting on your !!!! eating biscuits all day is doing too much, God knows what I'm supposed to be doing.

Film was great last night, although was so long ago I read the books saw the subtitled film, I'd forgot about all the shocking bits  think it made a lot of the cinema goers uncomfortable, particularly the people who obviously didn't know it was coming. We ended up going to a new restaurant that's opened up next door to the cinema, and the food was awful. My OH ordered a pizza, and honestly when it came I was revolted looking at it, so he sent it back, and I ordered a chicken wrap, I ate it because my OH was already so disappointed and I could hardly send both mains back, but it was horrid too, was advertised as succulent strips of chicken and crispy bacon, and it was little cheap chunks of chicken that had a weird after taste and like bacon lardons  shuddering thinking about it now :o

Going to In laws today I think to pick up a good chunk of our baby stuff, starting to panic we don't have it all here!

Hi ladies and bumps... I'm back home now. Waters have definitely broken, but apart from some irregular period-pain type cramping, not much is going on. I have to ring the maternity unit at 8pm to see if they have a bed free as they will be looking to induce me overnight if things haven't started on their own...

So things are happening... Only problem is the baby appears to be back to back which is a bit annoying, especially as baby's been the right way around the whole time until now! So I'm home, leaning over my ball, to try and get Pip to turn. I want to try and get a bit more sleep, as I've been awake since 3am, but OH thought I should try the ball thing first to give Pip a chance to turn round...

Hope you're all having a good day! :D I'm going to be a mummy soon! :j
