morning all, i LOVE my v pillow, i got some decent sleep for a change, anyone who is looking for them lidl have them for 6.99

grrrr the fishtank man needs a stern telling off. has he paid? i would be speaking to ebay.

nothing exiting happening here today apart from nipping to asda for some spicy sausage before i go to dog training.

I got the pillow from Aldi yesterday. It is quite comfy! It is first night I have tried it, but I like it so far.

The guy was supposed to pay on collection. Sent him an email saying to contact us by 6pm today and collect it by 8.30pm. If not, we are going to complain to eBay.

Just stopped at home on the way to hospital. Been to Asda, got another 8 starter packs, so I now have 600+ size 1 nappies, all for about £21, I think. Got to TKMaxx to get a gift for the little boy, they had nothing in 9-12 months range in clothing worth looking at, so went to Next next door and got something. That is me sorted for our gifts to friends.

Now, packed my maternity notes and off to hospital.going to ask if they got my urine test results from the lab on the ways well, they found some leukocytes last week.

Ok, I am off. Might have to get McDonalds for the train, as will have no time for lunch otherwise today!

Sammie, I can't cope with food shopping anymore! it's just too much hard work and my back/pelvis doesn't like me pushing the trolley and lifting things! I now do mine online, Mr Tesco will be delivering tomorrow. I was very dubious about it before getting pregnant but I love it now! I will be making DH go to Morrisons with me occasionally though as there are certain things we like from there.

I have a meeting with HR to sort out what's happening with my redundancy and maternity pay this morning. fingers crossed it'll all be as expected! They're also meant to be telling me how many holidays I have left to take so once I know i'll be getting them booked in pronto!!
  • Hello ladies :)

Am popping in to see if I can join you (and stop lurking) - I feel all official now we have had the 20 week scan :o

Just to introduce myself, I am Jovi, I am 21 weeks tomorrow and am due on the 13th June. This is our second child, DS is 7 in February. We found out yesterday we are expecting another boy :D Absolutely can't wait for little man's arrival although am slightly worried we might have forgotten everything about babies :o

Currently trying to decide whether to have an elective c-section this time round, DS's birth was quite traumatic and ended in emergency section so am trying to weigh up whether I am brave enough to try naturally again :o

Hope all well and look forward to getting to know you all better :)

    Jovi x
  • welcome jovichick. and congrats on another boy, june will be here before you know it. il add you to the list in a little wile if no one does it first. at the moment im juggling a 4 year old with an atempt to drink a (now cold) coffee and pay the bills online.

hi everyone, been lurking but it always moves so quickly i cant keep up!!

im 26+ wks now and still feeling great! baby girls is doing amazing things in my belly, i wish i could work out which bits of her are doin wat!! every night for the past week my hubby and i have been laughing our socks off! great entertainment!! she's finally decided to turn round head down for some part of the day so not getting as many kicks in my lady bits, which i am very greatfull for as it was startin to get a bit uncomfy!!

good luck today lisa, with the scan and at work.

    hi jovichick123

ginvzt thats ALOT of nappies!!! nothing like being prepared!!

laura im sorry your in so much pain, my neighbough had very bad spd from 22-28 weeks, she went to the docs in the end as the midwifes jus seemed to fob her off as another pregnancy niggle, but the doc sorted out some physio for her and she had some crutches, she actually said that none of these helped, it was only when she woke up one day and the baby had moved position it all went away!!! to ease the discomfort the docs gave her stronger pain relief, not sure how you would feel bout takin them if he give you some? i know some wemon dont like to while they are pregnant. hope my ramblings make sense!!? x

congratulations to everyone whos just had their baby, i cant wait for my baby cuddles!!!! xxxxx
  • Thanks Jem2, have been on my ball to see if that will make baby move but so far no luck. Will give it another try tonight. I dont want to take anything, I would rather be in pain.

    Is this your first?

no its my 2nd but still as exciting!!

i know what you mean bout pain killers but if it helps you get a good nights sleep maybe its worth it??

would a week off work resting ease it at all for you? does resting ease it or does exercising help better? i think the physio would only give you stretches to do so might make it worse! xx

i dont work and my son is at school full time so i get alot of time to myself to put my feet up or go swimmin ect. i was only sayin yesterday i dont know how i managed to work full time last time i was pregnant and really feel for those who are working. x
  • I might give swimming a go, I have read that it helps. I did some pelvic exercises yesterday and today so hopefully those will ease it too. I just dont think I'm very well built for carrying a baby, either that or it has had a huge growth spurt!? Was measured for the first time last week and bump was measuring 28 weeks at 26+5, I dont think I look any bigger than I did last week though.

I dont really want to take time off work if I can help it, I took yesterday off as holiday but am back in today, I just feel bad because I have so much time off for appointments - and knowing me I would probably get bored and end up doing stuff around the house. I was rather naughty on saturday and went up in the loft moving stuff around while OH was at work - not that he knows that, I would get in trouble :0/

Gin I have had leukocytes in my urine at every single app apart from 1 which was with the consultant not the midwife. The midwife kept saying it was most likely that some discharge had dripped into the bottle whist peeing....i was getting quite paranoid about it! However have just come back from seeing a different midwife, and she said that if the lid is left off of the bottle with the sticks in, it makes leukocytes come up! And if it isnt that, its just a sign of urine infection, which i`m sure i dont have!
Sammie Its so cold out there today!! Glad theres no snow yet, get food shopping online! I only still go in the car myself as a good friend comes with me every week and pushes my trolley ;)
Laura go and see ur Dr, they will refer u to physio. My baby moves around all of the time and yet mine gets no better at all. I`m in agony every night atm :( co-codamol can be taken, but it makes me sick :(
Lovecrafting I need to pay my bills today but really cant be bothered, can wait til 2moro i think haha!
Welcome to Jem and Jovi :) Altho hopefully i wont be around for much longer haha! ;)

Think I may have to go purchase myself one of those pillows ur all talking about, i need something fatter for between my knees at night :(
Just got back from midwife, blood pressure is up to 128/78 (was 98/50 last time) But i still feel carp in the mornings. Was a diff midwife to normal, she was really nice, and apparently i wouldnt be induced until probably 14 days past EDD :( So this baby best play ball and get his bum here soon! She said i have alot of water (again!) Had that with DD3 yet she was still nigh on 9lb! Measuring 36 which is good as have been big at every app til now!
Have a good day ladies! xx
