Landlord insurance / unoccupied insurance

We are soon to complete on a new home but are going to rent it for 6mths ish while applying for planning permission.
Can anyone recommend an insurance company who will allow us to switch between landlord and unoocupied insurance easily?
Any other tips?

I was in this situation...I used Vasek via a broker (albeit the broker where I work, but did not get special terms).

There is small print regarding heating on between October and March if unoccupied, and regular checks blah de blah - nothing out of the ordinary there; but when the house was sold, I got a pro rata refund on the unused months (granted, I work for a broker, so no "admin" fee, and there are a couple of perks).
