Bank have overpaid me

My ex bank have sent me my PPI refund cheque twice. Although not the same amount, they are similar amounts as one cheque had slightly more interest added because of the time lapse. I have cashed this second cheque although I have transferred it to a different account where it can't be spent! How long do I have to wait before the bank can no longer ask for this payment back, should they find out? I do not think it's dishonest cashing the cheque because 1) I've no intention of spending it and 2) they didn't mind when they stole thousands from me when they missold me my policy.
Thanks.
Thanks.
