Using the older version of Avira Free.
For the first time ever it's complaining about a virus in combofix.
Anybody else getting this?
It's the standard Combofix download off Bleeping computer.

It's a false positive. Avast shouldn't be running when using Combofix.
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/combofix/how-to-use-combofixClose or disable all running Antivirus, Antispyware, and Firewall programs as they may interfere with the proper running of ComboFix.

I vaguely remember something along those lines, but I've mixed'n'matched between the latest versions of avira and avast for a while now........come to think of it, it was avast's auto-sandbox feature (in it's earliest days) which was flagging CF files during download, which was quite bizzare
...... also if you forget to turn off the av before running CF... ......Gettin' There, Wherever There is......
I have a dodgy "i" key, so ignore spelling errors due to "i" issues, ...I blame Apple
