Hi Moneysavers..
Please can anyone tell me the best way to get my own website .I dont need anything flash just a couple of pages etc..I need to link to search engines though.
I dont have web name yet but the ones I looked at are available. Im thinking of going with mrsite.com if nothing better turns up here. If anyone can help, thanks in advance..

You need the Yahoo NON-basic email service http://mailplus.mail.yahoo.com/ if you already have this ....read here http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/mail/original/mailplus/pop/index.html
Does your ISP give you a free domain name ? the MSE answer...
Yahoo also have http://geocities.yahoo.com/ free, another MSE answer
To get in search engines get your site mentioned on blogs, other sites, reg with search engines, etc ., all free options...
If the myspace/blog type site is not the type of site you want and you are want a commercial site, consider the £25pa type basic hosting packages that do not place their ads on your pages. Other PPL will be able to offer more names...

I run my own websites through KWIK Internet.
These guys are great, and saved me a lot of money.
They've got very cheap hosting, turnkey websites and templates. Most of the hosting companies charge fortunes to have something changed on the site, but these guys are very helpful, great communicators & incredibly professional. And the best part is, their sites come with webbuilders, so you don't have to be a genious to amend everything yourself, update your latest news, add pictures & music, or all your bargains.
here are a few of the links
Kwiksite.co.uk
Kwikhosts.co.uk
They also have 'latest offers' on the kwikhosts site.
you don't need to buy templates, as their packages come with free templates already, but if you want to buy a cheap one anyway, they also have a site called TopTemplates.co.uk
Hope this will help you as much as it did me.0 -
