Hi all,
hoping for some inspiration please.
Have finally booked up DD2s christening for Easter Sunday. MIL is in charge of cake. Have some lovely people sorted out to do sandwiches/crisps etc. for 100 people. Now just need to sort out the drinks!
3 questions really:
1) What would you serve?
2) How much of it?
3) Where would I get it cheaply!!
All suggestions very gratefully received.

We bought some sparkling wine called Charlemagne it was about 4.99 for a large bottle, we got it from Makro, we used it as the toast at our wedding reception, we couldn't afford real champagne, it went down really well.
not sure if this is what you was after, good luck for the christening which is on my daughter 3rd birthday.:beer:0 -
Sorry, a bit naive about these things - do you have to belong to Makro, or can anyone shop there?MSE GBBO 2015 - Go Alvin!0

The big supermarkets have some great deals on wine etc. how about jugs of pimms, bucks fizz, made with cava or something similar0 -
Fastini - tastes just like champagne but more drinkable without the dent in your wallet!
comes in 2lt (i think) bottles and i know Makro do it in cases but Iceland also sell it for £2 a bottle i think0 -
Yes you do have to be a member at Makro, but usually you can get a card through your employer.
Just remember to add on the VAT as often the shelf price looks a bargain.Official DFW Nerd Club - Member no: 203.0 -
