Samsung dvd recorder, HELP PLS

I have a Samsung DVD-R119 recorder, it works fine and have had it a while, but, I recorded from our video camera plugged into the front and it was able to play on all our familys different dvd players, yet when I recorded channel five through freeview (our dd birthday card being read out) it would not play on anyone elses dvd players. I used exactly same discs and recorded exactly as I did with video camera. Anyone got any ideas why this happened, when I e-mailed samsung all they said was "we cant guarantee recordings will work on other dvd players, sorry" (very helpful). I also wanted to copy this dvd for other family members on pc but pc wont read it either. Any ideas much appreciated, thanks.

get a program called dvd shrink see if that will rip the dvd to your computer and then try and burn it again.

DVD's normally have to 'finalised' before they will play on other dvd players. Perhaps you haven't done that (your manual will show you how to do it)
