Hi,
I bought a Bush DAB/Ipod dock from Zavvi in March last year, just recently it stopped charging my iphone (which will charge from cable) I contacted Zavvi who advised that they only provide a 6 month guarantee and I should contact manufacturer.
Any advice on this situation, should I pursue Zavvi or am I going to have to contact Bush, incidentally anyone have contact details for their Customer Service Dept?
cheers

You've clearly never tried to Google Bush Electronics UK or Alba (their parent company), have you??0 -
Ok, doing a bit of digging around I have found this Wiki: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alba_%28brand%29 which says they are now part of http://www.homeretailgroup.com/0

Thanks....it's a tangled web!
Got as far as Harvard International myself, but nothing re the Bush brand or Customer Service.
Will try Argos...see what I get from them. Watch this space!0 -
Bush the brand is owned by Alba. Alba is owned by Home Retail Group. So I'd start with them and work from there.0

Unfortunately Home Retail Group only provide and address and phone number for contacts and I have no access to phone in work. There are Customer Service email contacts for Argos and Homebase so I've tried Argos, hopefully they will be able to point me in the right direction.
Thanks for the help! Sometimes you have to work a bit harder than just googling!0 -
Good luck0

They may only offer a six month guarantee, but a guarantee is in addition to your statutory rights.
Under the Sale of Goods Act, the retailer needs to provide a remedy if the fault can be shown to have been present at the time of sale... an inherent fault.
They have this responsibility up until six years after the sale.
Unfortunately after six months it is for the consumer to prove that the fault is inherent.
You may need an independent engineer's report that shows this.
Have a look at MSE's Consumer Rights article for further details.0
