Is it worth using one of those companies if your bank won't pay out?

Hi all
I've been trying, literally for years to get smile bank to pay back our charges, we've paid out a few thousands in charges and got in a total mess with them - charges on charges and so on. They've always refused, we've tried hardship and straightforward claiming.
After years of paying back our overdraft we have finally done it, and closed the account.
What I'd like to know is it worth trying a company to reclaim for us? And if so, who. I don't think we'd make the 'harship' criteria anymore.
Thanks

No. They use the same free-of-charge complaints process you do. They usually use the same style template letters and suffer the same or even worse success rates. The bank doesnt treat it differently because it is a claims company. Indeed, they may treat it worse if you use one of the companies on their blacklist.I don't think we'd make the 'harship' criteria anymore.
You dont. You are no longer in debt on that account and have closed it.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only.
