Post Office car insurance via Quidco

Has anyone else had a problem getting a quote from the Post Office via Quidco?

I was hoping to get the PO's £50 off plus Quidco's £30 cash back but whenever I try to get a quote this way, the PO site says there's a problem with their online quotation system and they will email me with a quote, which they haven't done, despite me trying the site several times.

My car insurance is due 28.02.07.

Any suggestions?

Try getting the quote without the Quidco and see what happens.
Have you checked whether you are eligible for both?

I took out car insurance yesterday. The £27 is now showing on my account as tracked and i also got the email from the PO saying the docs are on the way.

Can you try on a different browser like Firefox or Opera?
  • Thanks for the replies.

Yus, I'm a bit thick when it comes to techie stuff; what are firefox and opera?

    Browsers like Internet Explorer
    https://www.firefox.com
    https://www.opera.com

Personally I use firefox, far superior to IE IMHO.

I am currently with postoffice car insurance up for renewal:

    Q) Can i say i want to leave postoffice car insurance at end and then re-quote via quido for £27 and £50 cashback from postoffice with same details, as they seem to be offer the best quote.
    I'd appreciate help.

    Hiya,

I would try it, but the majority of times it will recognise that you have had a policy with them, will allow you to complete the quote, but not buy it.

You then have to ring them up, and then they give you some guff about not being able to price match to the internet - yadayadaya.

Can you tell I used to work there?! How glad I am I left!!!

P.S. Get it in writing that you have cancelled your policy from renewal.
