problems google earth

how do I get my google earth to work.
when I try to open it ,I get
"your desktop resolution is smaller than 1024 x678"
Google earth requires 1024x678
any ideas how to fix it

It will still work at 800x600, just tick the little box under the message first (then press ok) and then you won't be told about the resolution again.

To increase your resolution, right click on your desktop, when the menu pops up click on properties (a new screen will pop up), then click on the Settings tab at the top. You should see something called "Screen Resolution", just move the slider bar to the right so it moves on to 1024x768.
