Natwest Gold Credit Card PPI Reclaim Help

Hi
I've had a Natwest Gold Credit Card for longer than I can remember. I don't actually use this card anymore, but it is still active, and still in my wallet just in case. I've heard all about the reclaiming PPI, and I'm sure I was paying this on my card when I did use it, as at the bottom of each statement I remember seeing a charge which I think was a percentage of the statement amount. I always paid the card in full each month, but the following month there would be a new amount with that months bill. I don't have any of the old paperwork, ie, Statements etc, as I had a clear out a while ago, and shredded old documents I didn't need anymore.
After reading through the PPI Reclaiming section on the MSE website, I think I may have a good reason to claim.
I'm just not quite sure where to start, and don't really want to go through the bank direct, as I'm sure they will try to tell me I have no claim, even though their website say's they will do all they can.
Is there anyone who could just give me some pointers regarding my claim, and how to get started.
Thanks in advance
Lee

You put a claim in with the card number (this is the account number).
Look here for reasons and mis sell

If any more apply to you then put a claim in.
Just to let you know, most cards only refund for the past 6 years, unless you have proof of ppi before this date, but if you win, 6 years will be a nice amount.0 -
Thanks for the link Amersall.
I don't even remember being asked or agreeing to any kind of insurance when I took the card out. It's just something that always appeared at the bottom of the list of payments.
Just really needed to know how to start going about claiming, as I don't have any paperwork.A shadowy flight into the dangerous world of a man who does not exist.
