haircut traumas-UPDATE!!! :)

by jove i think we've cracked it!!! Borrowed the clippers off my cousin this evening and tried them with Ryan, and while he still cried, he let me do it and he's now looking much tidier-the ammount of hair that came off was unreal, it was definately ready.

I think ive also figured out what he doesnt like about it-the hair going on his face/body, so am gonna try and get one of those shampoo screens and a special cape for him to wear when i do it. Took me about 15 mins this evening, cos I was trying to talk to him and reassure him and wipe his face etc-but he's happy with the clippers...............off to search for the ones my cousin has as they were quiet and wireless, much easier with a 3 year old :)

    Hooray!

After your last post, I hunted out my clippers (very old and messy with half the attachments missing, lol but it does the job) and did my DD (aged 15 months) and my DS (aged 4). DD didn't make a fuss at all, considering it was her first time, she just kept trying to look at the clippers and we made a huge mess of everything. Luckily she was already wearing some old clothes that I don't mind now throwing out.

DS kept squirming and wriggling but we managed and that's the important thing. Saved £4 because otherwise he definitely would have needed to have his hair cut his week.
You'll have to speak up; I'm wearing a towel
