please help need advice, Diabetes, car insurance

Options
A friend of mine has diabetes, when he got his car insurance last year he was quoted a price, but when he told them he had diabetes his insurance went sky high, last year he payed £487.00.

So i said to him let me try to get you a guote through MSE as it had saved me £160.00.

I went through all the pages of a quote and at no time did it ask me any medical questions, just the same as when i did it for my self.
The quote I got was £199.00. Great.

After all that. heres the problem.

If the insurance company don't ask any health questions, does my friend have to disclose them. Or as long as he has filled in all their questions they have asked, they can't come back at him if he has to claim. And they then find out he has diabetes.

Any help will be very greatfull, as he too is fed up of being ripped off like all of us who use MSE.
