  • Awww window shopping online, I've done that!! I miss having parcels arriving from Amazon! It's officially less than 2 weeks to pay day now though, woohoo!

I'm trying to make myself read all the books I already own before buying anymore! Currently reading The Help which is really good :-)

Well done skintas for paying off some bills this month. Mum2one I know the feeling.

This month does seem to be dragging on and yet other days it seems to be zooming by. Either way the money it litterally down to the last penny as there has been aload of unexpected bills and costs that have merrily landed on my lap this month. I can only hope Febuary is much nicer.

  • Tee hee! Window shopping online - I've heard it all now! This made me laugh out loud :rotfl:

    I must try that sometime!
  • not long till payday now i suppose. I have my £115 road tax at the end of this month, but feeling a bit better about Feb as I will have less direct debits coming out next month than i did this month as i paid a few things off.

Rubbish at the time but will be better in the long run.
I get paid exactly 12 days from now, (not that im counting) wonder how many hours that is haha x

  • January is always a loooong month. Plus there's the christmas hangover on the cards :( , it doesn't help when the weather isn't the greatest either. February will be good, spring will be on it's way, february is also a nice short month as well :)

Very true!! January is a long month and I don't get paid until the 31st. February is just that little bit shorter! I'm doing well so far this month - not spent much at all, plus I just claimed a £10 Amazon voucher with my Nectar points so I can treat myself to something nice!

February is even better if you pay your council tax over 10 months - no payments in Feb and March:j:j:j:j:j

I'm looking forward to getting my debt statements. I've got one CC statement and was overjoyed to find that by paying the same amount but 14 days earlier I saved 21p interest! Oh what joy! 21p extra paid off the debt never to accrue interest again!

I last got paid 22nd Dec and not again till 27th Jan so yes it's a looooong month. I always look forward to Feb and Mar as I get my free council tax months. Yay! Loads more cash left in my account - what shall I do with it? Pay lump sums off debts or keep in ISA in case I have another miserable year like last one?

Well, I'm experimenting on a new way to pay off my overdraft this month so I'm quite excited about that. It means number crunching each week and moving money about but it works in theory. I won't know till next month how well it works. Still I'll give it a good try for a couple of months and see how it goes.

Can't wait for my other 2 statements, hopefully I'll get one tomorrow!
