PPI Bank Refusal

Hi, I tried to claim back my PPI from Blackhorse; however, I had a letter back mid September 2011 saying that as I tried to make a claim on it in the past I obviously knew that I had the insurance and am therefore not entitled to a refund.

To be honest I had forgotten that I tried to make a claim as it was a few years ago. Just wondering whether anyone can help me on the following?

1. Have I left it too late to try and re-claim the PPI?
2. If not, should I re-submit an amended questionnaire to the bank stating that I had tried to claim on this insurance in the past and ask them to appeal their decision? Or should I just go straight to the Ombudsman?

Thanks.

That makes you very unreliable in respect of any verbal allegation you have made (i.e. if your complaint reasons are not factual but relate to hypothetical conversations, then you have blown that aspect of your complaint)

Go back to black horse with a real complaint reason and not a wishy washy unprovable one which you may or may not remember. Such as single premium, added to debt and charged interest on.
