container to store pet food pouches

Just looking at storing them then the boxes fall apart, easy to stack etc any ideas?

currently using a 48 pack box but its starting to fall apart, what do others use that use cat food pouches.

looking on the net couldn't find anything really, but i am a fan of lock and seal tubs, if anyone is using that what size box did you get, i want to stand them up as you see them in their cardboard boxes so i can see what flavours they add, also helps with rotation to ensure they have the ones that go out of date first ifswim

  • have you tried a local bargain shop such as a £1 plus store? they normally have huge tubs outside for sale, price varies on where you live

I haven't no, i guess i would have to carry around a packet of cat food lol.

Mobility a bit limited but not too much of a problem.

Just wanted to see what other do really, i already use plastic seal and lock tubs for the cats treats and the dog treats.

After watching Gizmo the cat smack a treat pot (the anti hairball whiskas) to the floor and dive into the spillage.. cheeky puss.

  • I've got a wee storage type box (bit like one you keep bits of DIY stuff in - open topped & slatted sides) they fit in really well.

Something a bit like this 31iFcpdCGDL._AA115_.jpg but probably not quite as big (couldn't find a pic of the one I've got) - got it out the local hardware shop for a couple £s. HTH

I remembered reading this thread some time ago and wanting a solution to the same problem.
If you haven't already found a storage box, the one we have just bought is perfect and only 3 pounds (pound sign not working) On googling the barcode both Tesco and Asda sell it for the same price though I got ours from Tesco.

I want to point out that hubby says the one we have doesn't match the dimensions given on both sites, he thinks they had 2 sizes on the tesco shelf and we got the smaller one.

Anyway, it's called a boot box and the barcode on ours is 5014348277821. It holds 48 100g pouches perfectly. To make sure of this before buying I took a box to the pet aisle and loaded it with pouches :D

    Tesco one, http://www.tesco.com/direct/large-shoe-or-boot-box/212-8258.prd?skuId=212-8258&pageLevel=

Same one in Asda http://direct.asda.com/ASDA-11-Litre-Shoe-Plastic-Storage-Box-and-Lid---Clear/001498623,default,pd.html?utm_medium=aff&utm_source=awin&utm_campaign=ad&cm_mmc=Shopping Engines ASDA Direct-_-Affiliate Window-_-Plastic Storage-_-ASDA 11 Litre Shoe Plastic Storage Box and Lid - Clear

When I fed my dog trays of wet food, I stored them all in a breadbin. Had a large rectangular metal one with a lid on top, everything stacked nicely and I knew it was mouse/rat-proof too (lived in a farm cottage that was prone to little visitors!). Plus it looked like it belonged where it was on the kitchen side, no one had to know there wasn't bread in it!
