Please help! I gave £200 to charge right ltd and they seem to have disappeared! They told me I was entitled to money for a mid sold mortgage. I also gave them all my mortgage papers and our passports driving licences as proof of identity and a cheque which has my sort code and account number on. I'm now very worried that I am going to be cloned or something. I looked up there registration which I thought was anyway and they seemed legit! What do I do now???

I dont have any advice to offer, except that you are probably on a long ride waiting for anything back from them.
To other readers, Has anyone genuinely got anything from these cowboys? Sounds like its just the same as dozens of other places dotted around. Take your money, put it in the bank, what the inetrest add to it, tell you its a slow process, and then go bust!!!!0 -

.....whilst at the same time giving consumers - during the course of these jolly little scams - the implied sense of security that being 'authorised by the Ministry of Justice' provides, whilst that very same ministry sits on its hands and does nothing despite what is clearly happening around it.

They told me I was entitled to money for a mid sold mortgage.
1 - there is never any entitlement
2 -your data is no in the public domain and no-one can tell if you were mis-sold without looking at your files and finding out the information.
So, any company giving you the impression there is should put you on guard. If they say that and want money up front that it could be considered advance fee fraud by some.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). You need to cancel the cheque if it has not been cashed.
Report them to MOJ.
