    I downloaded their application form on Tuesday and filled it in manually (thinking that it would be quicker). I received my passbook in the post this morning. Very impressive.

    If you went for this account and you register for their online system, be aware that it does not update very quickly.

    I did a faster payment into the Flexible saver AM on Thursday Jan 19th and it has not shown up yet - today is Monday January 23rd.

    I've given them a call and they have confirmed the payment is showing on the account on their "live" system as is a 2nd faster payment I did on the 20th.

    It tends to want to popup up a new window at that point. If your browser isn't allowing that, try holding down Control or whatever magic it prefers.

    I use Firefox. It opened a new window and I was able to register with no problem.

    I have been a customer for several years so can't remember if I had any problems registering.

    However, as others have said, it looks like you need to allow popups in your browser.

  • In the T&Cs for this account it stipulates a £20/month minimum deposit and a maximum of £12k/year. A few people here have said they plan to put in £12k on 1st April. Has anyone checked with MonBS that it is OK to pay in up to the maximum early and not pay the £20/month thereafter?

    Otherwise, my plan is
    * £11960 now
    * £11800 on 1st April
    * £20 monthly from Feb onwards
    * Close acct after anniversary bonus

    Thanks,
    Mark

    The £20 minimum monthly funding only applies to direct debit payments.
