First of i am sorry if this subject is repeated..
i have recieved a contractual parking notice charge for a toys r us car park in plymouth.
It says that is stayed over the two hour limit and wants to charge me 50 if i pay early and 75 if i pay late.
I didnt see the sign when i drove in and i had no idea about the limit. as its a private fine do i have to pay it can i appeal? any help would be great ..

For a start it's "fine", it's an unenforceable invoice. Don't appeal, but just ignore them. Could you tell us the name of this parking company? What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0

thanks for your help the company is G240

Don't bother, "ignore" is always the best policy. What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0 -

All you will get by writing is more harassment, this is a scam that impersonates authority.
IGNORE 100 %
Do not write, engage, contact, phone... JUST IGNORE THEM
They will buy the private data of the registered keeper from DVLA and send fake authority impersonating letters claiming to be from debt collectors, solicitors and probably God himself ordering you to pay.
Ignore, arm yourself with what letters to expect and play snap as they arrive.
The legal position is they can sue you for any loss you caused, if this was a free car park the loss is nothing, any other chargers of fees are a penalty which can not be charged by private companies.
BE WARNED this is one of the top mentioned sharks for coming back for MORE MONEY in late payment charges for those that pay hoping the bullie will go away, they wont, they come back for more ! :eek:Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. For your credit record to be harmed the case would have to go to court (very unlikely) you lose (very, very unlikely) and THEN you refuse to pay whatever the judge orders within 28 days. Debt collectors are not bailiffs. They are just private citizens with no more power than you or me to demand money off people. What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0 -
thanks for your help on this you have made my day..0

The car-park was free, therefore the most the landowner can sue you for is nothing. The contractually "agreed" charge you were meant to have "agreed" to when entering the car-park is nothing more than an unlawful contractual penalty.
I hope you never give that branch of Toys R Us your custom ever again, and also tell your friends, family & work colleagues to do the same.0
