Surely the last few sats have been a bit colder than what has passed before!
It is winter after all. IMO you need longer term data to tell if you have a provlem.0 -
hi yes i under stand what ur saying i have had the heating on a lot more over the past week or so as it has been so cold , but the units used still work out less than what they seem 2 b saying i was using when it was warmer !, that is why i think there is a problem

I don't understand what you mean teagan1966. Are you saying that the meter is saying you are using more than you think you are?
Have you worked it all through from gas units to kilowatt hours as gas is more complicated than electricity with all the conversions...Indecision is the key to flexibility0 -
i used to think that the gas units were the same as kilowatt hours but they are notIndecision is the key to flexibility0

i would keep an eye on your consumption for the next month and make a note of whether you are using appliances more or less
also bear in mind if your heating is on thermostats you will use more if it is colder than if it is warmer etc etcIndecision is the key to flexibility0 -
Hi teagan,
You've mentioned that you beleive your bill is incorrect or too high - are you able to confirm whether the readings listed on your bill are estimates (sometimes have an 'E' next the the reading) or customer/actual readings (have a 'C' or 'A' next the the reading).
If they're estimates, it would be better for you to call your gas company and tell them your current reading.
Hope that helps - I had my bill turn up last week and was a bit shocked at the price of that ... they had estimated but unfortunately, not enough!
Cheers,
Steve0
