Can anyone advise or help me please (I am at my wits end)
In april 2011 my mother in law (83yo.)Had a full new central heating system installed by the govt. funded warmfront grant scheme.
It now has developed a problem and keeps going off.
My problem is no matter who I phone or email, I get either dead ends or put on hold forever,No one wants to speak about any warrany work even tho the system was supposed to be guaranteed for 2 years. The company who fitted it was called tempo energy (newcastle area) But I believe the main offices to be from Hull. Also Carillion / eaga plc appear to be the main players in this game.
I have spent approx 10 hours of phoning and get no one to either accept resposibilty or get told to ring another number.
The installation is in south tyneside area and I have a bad feeling about the whole thing now.
Does anyone out there have any knowledge of these companys, this scheme and if it has been a complete scam by these companies.
The boiler is an (Ideal make system )has any forumites had the same problem and or got a solution to my problem.i.e. contact numbers company addresses etc.
Thanks
A very frustrated Tom

If the boiler indeed has a two year warranty then contact the manufacturer, else contact the installation company.0

Tempo will just be the sub contractor for the installation, you need to contact Eaga 0800 4081437 (there's probably a sticker with this info somewhere on the boiler) I wouldn't call it scam exactly just a nightmare for getting repairs, end of the day it was a boiler system paid for via a grant so no costs incurred from the 'scam' apart from normal repair and maintenance costs for a boiler if you can't get it resolved.0

Warmfront are famous for skipping the Powerflush stage when putting a new boiler in. This causes all the crap to damage the boiler.
Also Ideal boilers are not a good make anymore.
If you get no luck try your local council Energy Officer as they will have a relationship with Warmfront and can apply pressure,0
