Virgin Trains - First Class

Hi,
I have booked my first ticket from Euston to Wolverhampton for a train departing at 11.23, as the two tickets came to £30ish. I know that they serve "light bites" but do they serve alcohol and is there a limit to how much you can have? (not that i'm planning to get drunk!)

I'm sure they will. The last one I was on did.
Not on my list of priority concerns when travelling though!
5t.What if there was no such thing as a rhetorical question?0 -

Happy birthday!
They'll keep tabs on you though so if you want a sing a long expect to be asked to move.
Also, they come round once in a blue moon with drinks so don't expect to get tanked up on the free ones!

Depends what day you are travelling at. Their weekend service is greatly reduced in FC."If you no longer go for a gap, you are no longer a racing driver" - Ayrton Senna0

Could you take your first class ticket to the buffet/shop to get the inclusive drinks/snacks in the event you want one when the trolley isn't passing through?0

It may depend on the server and how busy it is. I once did Manchester to London and the chap was giving everybody double their order so he didn't have to come back :-)I need to think of something new here...0

Last time I travelled up from Euston to Crewe, mid week, mid morning they did. This was Oct last year. Get there a spot earlier, there's a good 1st class lounge at Euston with free wifi, coffee, juice, pastries etc. On the train they gave me soft drinks, tea/coffee, sarnie, crisps, biscuits, and offered one drink of booze. Don't forget wifi on the train too (when its not in a tunnel!) All rather pleasant really and definitely recommended if you spot a 1st class ticket for only a little more than standard.0
