How do I?

Hi forgive me if it has been answered before, I suppose it has but I cant seem to process the information, probably because I am blonde:D
I have a credit card, I dont remember if I did tick any box for PPI when applying for the card, but am now getting tired of part of my payments on the card going towards this insurance, especially when I dont even remember saying yes.
What I am trying to say is, can I apply for a refund of these payments? If so how to I go about it, as I said I'm blonde and cant seem to get my head around the guides. Is it possible to just write a letter toi the CC Co saying that I wish to apply for my PPI payments be refunded to me? Or do I have to fill in a form?
Many thanks for reading and any help given and apologies to all if I seem a bit thick.

Although you dont remember saying no.What I am trying to say is, can I apply for a refund of these payments?
You can make a complaint to them about anything you want. The chances of success will very much depend on what you are complaining about and the validity of your complaint. If so how to I go about it, as I said I'm blonde and cant seem to get my head around the guides. There is absolutely nothing wrong with having PPI. To get a refund, you have to have been mis-sold it or it was set up with some breach of rules. So, just asking for a refund will not be successful. That is similar to asking Tesco for you money back for the weekly shop for the last 10 years.
There is a PPI template available from the FOS you can complete and send in which asks you to highlight your personal circumstances at the time. You could try that and it may help you see if you have grounds for complaint or not.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). Many thanks dunstonh.
Looks like I'm onto a no, no then, because I certainly cant remember when I applied if I did agree to PPI or not, so basically just saying that I cant remember is not grounds for applying for a refund. It was just when I considered what I was paying for PPI on this card made me gasp a bit. Oh well it was worth a shot to see if it was worth it, specially with trying to keep personal expenditure down in these lean times.
Thanks for your imput on it.total airhead, total bimbo, very superficial:D0
