HELP! with twitter (not comp)

Unfortunately these seem to go out a lot I have a company twitter and get one of these every few weeks and its a hoax so I just block the person thats sent it and never click on the link.
To be on the safe side it is probably worthwhile booting your computer up in safe mode and doing a full virus check this way you are checking your computer when its not connected to the internet to make sure if it has done anything nasty it should show up.
Hope that helpsSealed Pot Challenge 7 2014 #204 Target £100

I had my twitter account hacked and only found out when a someone told me my account had sent a PM ""Have you seen what this person is saying about you"
So have since changed my password, if anyone gets any of these messages pm the owner and let them know so they can change their password.
Hi
I got this message from your account Susie and at first was shocked but didnt click through - thought I would read other tweets on your account to see if it was spam first and saw the other tweets related. Its such a pain. I have this problem with my email address. Used the same one for 11 years now and in the last three months have been hacked and shut down 4 times. They keep getting access though and its driving me insane! Dont know what else to do except open a new account.DFW 228 LONG H 68

I had an email today supposedly from Twitter to say that they'd changed my password but I didn't click, although I could no longer get into my account. I've since changed my password through Twitter.0

Thanks everyone.
I know, not to click links, i don't quite know what happened this morning, even as my brain was registering "DON'T" my fingers just worked on there own. A case of automatic pilot i think from clicking links on here lol.
Can imagine the lecture i'm going to get off hubby too, when i ask him to run a virus check and have to explain why:o
Password changed now, so i'm hoping all will be ok, but i'm calling myself all the names under the sun for my stupidness!!:lovethoug0 -
Hi Mattalex2008,
I am shazmark209 on Twitter,
I was a bit shocked when i read this thread,
I have not sent you any messages or viruses,
Just joined Twitter recently for comping and came to this board to get some followers.
I recieved the same message that you received yesterday, but ignored it.
Best regards,

I have received 2 of these messages. First late last night from Susan E, opened it without thinking, my computer immediately threw up it was a scam. Second tonight from Sapphirexx which I did not open. Sapphirexx realised her account had been hacked and left a message apologising. Only new to Twitter, do not like it as much as Facebook.

I'm not on Twitter as I'm a "silver surfer" & not that comp.lit. but one of my Friends on Facebook has alerted me that this sort of thing is happening there too. The problem with F/book is that you can't see what insulting or offensive things are being sent to your Friends as it doesn't show on your Wall at all. Could cost you a lot of lost friendships though.0
