Aristan Clas HE Regular Conventional Boiler any good?
Hello
Anyone installed or know anything about the Aristan Clas HE Regular Conventional Boiler?
Seems really good value and has a 5 year guarantee which not many boilers have
Is there a good website with boiler reviews or does any one know if Which? Magazine has reviewed it? If so would someone mind posting the info please
Thanks again
Chris

What's the quote come back as to supply and install the boiler?:footie:
Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S)
Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money.

Personally I wouldnt touch them with Mr Bens bargepole.
Had an experience wherby I/we had to change the boilers on a whole estate that another person had had installed due to major problems and leaks for which a part was at the time not even listed as available?
They would not attend any meetings to address the problems, so customer service was nil, so we ended up ditching the lot before the warranties had even run out, which proved more economical, and they were removed from our supplier list indefinately!Signature removed0 -
O.P.: avoid, avoid, avoid. Keep in mind, a boiler is only as good as the standard of installation and annual servicing. More advice here.

when you say avoid is there any reason?
There problems with this particular boiler and if so what was it?
Know they had problems some years ago with a different one but other brands inc valiant (ie setting on fire) have had issues
Besides this comes with a 5 year guarantee whilst others don't. Why only offer 1 year?
Has any one had or used this boiler?0 -

Other manufacturers with superior products ( Worcester Bosch, Viessmann and Vaillant if they have extended their offer into the New Year) provide 5 year guarantees subject to terms and conditions e.g. annual boiler service.
Btw... your quote is dirt cheap and I suspect other corners will be cut on the install which invalidate Ariston's guarantee.

I'd stop now before you go any further. Dont buy an Ariston boiler and if someones gives you one sell it and put the money towards a Worcester, Vaillant, Potterton, (I was going to say Baxi but their new one is crap), Remeha (I've installed these, 6 of, They're are so quiet you cant hear them on! I'd have one). Canucklehead is correct dirt cheap isn't a good sign.0

Don't understand it's about £50 cheaper than an a glow worm
Have you had any experience with this boiler? If so what's wrong with them?
I have found some positive reviews on net and no specific negative comments about it0 -
At the end of the day its your money to spend but I haven't come across an Ariston that hasn't got something wrong with it, be it cosmetic or mechanical. I don't know why but they seem to fall apart, develop leaks all over the place and generally look ropey and tired after 5 years.
All those I've been to have said they wouldn't have another one.
I've fitted 3 in the last 2 years and the feed back is the same, "I wouldn't have another"
Its only my opinion, cheaper isn't always best.0
