We have sash windows which run on tracks and a spring system. At the top of the sliding sash are two sliders (plastic) attached which run in the tracks. These sliders have broken off and as such the sash is unstable. Not sure that the sliders are called.
I have tried mighton but cant find the part. Can someone suggest other suppliers of sash parts?

Try and upload a photo Linda, its sounds like your discribing "Spiral balances" or "Spring Balances". If you can upload a pic it would be easier to help. The "plastic sliders " that you mention sound like the plastic sleeves which has the springs/balances inside them.
Mighton are a decent company to deal with and do sell spare parts. It may be a job for a local Carpenter/Joiner but check to see if they have experience of fitting balances...0 -

Hi
These are known as 'Tilt Latches' I used to be the importer of these into the UK and used to sell them for approx £2.00 per pair. If you get in contact with 'Mighton Products' they have them in stock (I used to work there). Tell them that Matt gave you the info, you should get them within a day or two. It might be worth sending them the picture on an email as there are various different types.
Hope that helps.
