You may need to choose a new username.
Seriously though, things are bound to seem a bit bleak now. This calls for a stiff upper lip and a bit of patience until the doctors can get their hands on you.0 -
looks like i will be able to claim £11 tax credits
£47 family allowance
£64.30 jba
looks like i had better stock up on bread and cheese........
Was going to have a even better username but that name is better used on a over 18's website....

How many hours were you contracted to as a postie? Yours is the lowest IHR that I've ever heard of. And being ill health retired doesn't mean you get your pension automatically, it just means that your not fit to do that job.
You should be able to claim JSA or ESA. If you're not fit for any job then you should have appealed the decision to IHR with lump some and attempted to get the IHR will pension. You really should have spoken to someone in the union about this before accepting it.
Former postie here too who's been IHR.4 Stones and 0 pounds or 25.4kg lighter :j0 -

too young to claim pension.

Then they have calculated your lump sum wrong.
Should be around the £17,000 mark.
You are not too young to receive your pension if you are not able to work again.
Permanent incapacity shall mean until normal retirement age or for at least 10 years from the date of medical opinion, whichever is the sooner.
If this is the case then you are entitled to have your pension early.
Pay in Lieu of Notice (pilon) 12 weeks for your length of service.
Lump sum payment - 34 weeks of weekly wage
Any accrued holiday pay -
Usually works out about £17-£19k for a postie of that length who is fulltime4 Stones and 0 pounds or 25.4kg lighter :j0 -

You seriously need to fix this. My IHR was more than that on a shorter working week and only 5 years service. If you want to pm me I will work out the details for you.4 Stones and 0 pounds or 25.4kg lighter :j0
