Mint money transfer service

Options
Hi,

Im trying to find out more information about the money transfer service that you can use with a mint credit card. I wanted to transfer a balance of £300 from a store card (30% APR) onto my mint card however have just been told that balance transfers can only be conducted from another credit card, so........

I have seen that Mint offer a money transfer service so was just wondering how much it would cost to transfer £300 into my bank account and then pay off this store card using that. Would it be any cheaper? Anyone got any info. on charges and interest? (have had the card for a year so any special deals wouldnt be applicable).

Thanks in advance.

I'm pretty sure that the Mint money transfer service is their term for a cash advance which you'll get charged for and pay a silly amount of interest on.

Ask Mint for some 'transfer and save' cheques which should be free or much cheaper depending on your particular t&cs. Make one of these cheques out to yourself, pay it into your bank account and pay your store card off with the cash.

    Thanks Gotabiscuit,

I did think that but ive just spotted a thing on their website and it says that interest for "money transfers" is the same as purchases, cheques and balance transfers - guess I'll just give them a ring and find out. Bet they charge 2% of the amount transferred or something silly like that :(

    Thanks again.
