where do i stand?

Options
I have taken my TV to computr exchange and traded it in for a better model they had for sale for wich i paid the difference in money. They showed me it working through an X BOX playing a DVD and all seemed well, however when i got it home and connected through sky the screen was shot and just displayed coloured lines. I imedietly returned it to the shop where iwas informed the matter would be dealt with in 7-10 days.
This has past 10 days now and when i address the matter with the manager of the shop he just says (with a smug look on his face) that he'll call me the moment something changes. but i have purchased a TV from them in good faith and have had nothing to watch for al this time through no fault of my own, and was wondering if anyone knew what my consumer rights where regarding this matter?

Thanks Mayonaze.

    Put your complaint in writing.

They are likely checking whether the problem was with the connections, your tv or the xbox itself. Although IMO that should take 7 days max, so what the hold up is, i have no idea.
You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride
