Any Vets out there - advice please

Any help/ advice requested please!
My puppy is due to the vets tomorrow for her vaccinations. Her breeder had her first vaccination done when she was 7 weeks and 4 days old. When I had the same situation with my first dog my vets said that because she was under 8 weeks old when she had the first vaccine that she needed to restart from scratch. Is this true? I'm just worried that its too much for a young puppy when there are concerns raised about yearly boosters by some people.
Hope this makes sense, I'm trying to cook dinner as well as do this!

I'm not a vet or nurse but it depends on your vet practice, some allow then to be vaccinated at 6 and 10 weeks. Ours is the same as yours wanting them done at 8 and 12 weeks. Our last pup had his first one done by the breeder at 6 weeks so we had another done at our own vets when he was 10 weeks and he was allowed out and about a week after this. They then said to bring him back in the next 2 or 3 months which we did. Your vet may let you off if your puppy had her first one at 7 weeks and 4 days.0

Yet if you pick a pup up at 8 weeks many (most?) breeders will have had his first jabs done. 6-8 weeks seems to be the norm. Our vet certainly had no problems with this.
Must be a bit of an earner for the vet making owners redo their jabs.0 -

That is partly what I'm thinking. She was exactly 8 weeks old when we got her (10 weeks old tomorrow!). I wouldn't mind too much about the money although not happy about it, but I am worried about the health implications of too much vaccine at such a young age.Life can only be understood backwards; but it must be lived forwards. The start age depends on the brand of vaccine - some will be from 6 weeks, others 8. Check with your vet0

Ditto what Snowman said - depends entirely on the brand of vaccine used. Some days you're the dog..... most days you're the tree!

That makes sense. Is there any health risk, known or suspected, about too much vaccine? Am I best to take her to the vet that the breeder used if they used a vaccine suitable from 6 weeks and my vet uses one to be used from 8 weeks?Life can only be understood backwards; but it must be lived forwards.
