TalkTalk Value Line Rental - save £50

I was looking on the TalkTalk website yesterday and noticed they do something called Value Line Rental.
You can pay for the line rental 12 months at a time for £113, this saves around £50 on the monthly cost of £13.50, which is what I am paying.
You don't change call plans to get it, but obviously you are tied in for 12 months.

This has been mentioned many many times on MSE - Martin has also included it in his weekly e-mails and on the MSE main site.
As you are tied in for a further 12 months it is also worth taking out Talktalk's offer of a half price package at the same time - this will save a further £3.25 for 12 months (Essentials package) or save £7.25/month for 9 months if you are on the unlimited package.
This is certainly what I did back in October when Talktalk launched Value Line Rental. Additionally, I also persuaded TalkTalk to give me another £20 credited to my account!
If you are not already a Talktalk customer you can sign up for the same deal via Quidco and get £40 cashback plus a £25 voucher to spend at love2shop, plus free connection and a free wireless router.0 -

They are offering me 2 months at half price. Did you ring up to get the better deal?0 -

The offer on their website is 12 months half price for the Essentials package or 9 months half price on the unlimited package. You should get this if you are outside a contract period. If you are not yet outside of a contract period then the offer would not apply. Maybe that is why they have offered you only 2months half price?0 -
Ah I see. BT Infinity is coming to our area in June and I want the faster broadband with TalkTalk Fibre.
We are on the International package, but apparently you can only switch over if you are on the Essentials or Plus packages.0 -
Hi All,
The VLR service does require customers to be on either Essentials or Plus plans (if your not already you can migrate to one of these plans) and the upfront 12 month payment does renew the contract for 12 months (as you have already paid for your line rental).
If you have any other queries you can tweet us @TalkTalkcare

or you could sign up for it.
and not get it.
try to sort it out but they can not sort it out, only to say to apply for it again?
instead of just correcting the bill (as £114 is paid in advance to get the value line rental) to show the correct amout.
TalkTalk are cheap but an obsolute nightmare to deal with.0 -
