I don't think she'll get SSP because she's still get sick pay from work. Depending on household income you may be able to claim low income benefits as a couple when her income drops.
Is she appealing her DLA application?
Macmillian nurses are usually good people to get advice from with regards to benefits/financial support as well emotional and physical support so it's worth speaking to them to see what they suggest.
I hope she gets better soon0 -
The SSP will be included in the half pay.
So presumably her contract says 3 months full pay and 3 months half pay.
You should maybe check also that if she doesnt go back after 6 months then she will be down to SSP onlymake the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
thanks guys, yes she is appealing but going to take 11 weeks, she has 1 more chemo left and she has to under go a operation, we had a good pay out on the ppi so that should hold us till we no whats happening.0
