Unhappy with new table - advice on my rights?

HI
We purchased a table and chairs from Argos in December. I have noticed that the veneer has come unstuck on one of the legs, and can easily be caught and ripped. I am really annoyed with the quality of this, and expected it to last longer than 2 months. However, we have scratched the top of the table by accident. That i can live with as it was our fault, but the veneer issue isnt. If i try and get a replacement, what do i say about the scratch? Surely that has nothing to do with the issue im complaining about. Are they are going to think i picked at the veneer to get a new table?? From what i understand my rights are for a replacement, as the goods are not lasting a reasonable amount of time? Its the scratch im not sure about. thanks in anticipation of your replies!
