A lot of patience to build that but its a shame it doesnt really run. Seen a 16 cylinder one on TV years back that
    did actually run on fuel.
The sound of it running on fuel would have been brilliant.

This is just turned over with compressed air.

    Very cool!

Just like most european car / engine manufacturers, I noticed there was no head gaskets, no piston rings, and a few other short cuts lol. I wonder how long it'll last!

There is a Corsair radial engine hand built by a British engineer (now deceased), I can't find it but it looks and sounds something like this, this one says by tjd models not sure if it is production or hand made.

I saw that on TV years ago and whilst it is admirable, I felt it was a bit of a con. It's claimed to be an 'exact' replica that would handle like the real thing, every little last detail is there etc. So what about the starter motor? - He has to use an external starter to start it!

Not exactly 'exact' IMO but it is without a doubt still an impressive project.

There was a fantastic little v8 produced a few years ago, may still be. Basically it was two 4 cylinder hyabusa cranks and pistons built into a vee block.

Fantasic engineering for the kit car market. Known as the Cyclone, no relation, ;)
I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.

Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)

Interesting, but I wondered where he got his spark from before realising its run on compressed air... massive disappointment really. It's not really an engine at all if it can't power anything.

If it's not running on fuel, it's an air pump.
Hoping this year is better than the last. :)

Don't forget guys, engines can be turned over for testing by an airline - it doesn't mean it can't / won't run on glow fuel or petrol.

Personally I don't think it would anyway.. there was (as i previously mentioned) no head gasket to form a seal beteen the cylinders and heads and whilst the lack of piston rings won't do it much good the lack of gaskets it probably quite a big issue if you don't want compressed air and fuel leaking out.
